Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah or Kwanzaa, more than likely a part of your celebration will involve a feast. Christmas day my husband and I are usually on the road visiting our families. But Christmas eve is usually at our home and my husband makes an Italian-inspired leg of lamb while my mom makes Shepherd’s pie—partly due to our Irish heritage, but as kids we were told it was because the shepherds visited baby Jesus in the stable, so that’s what you had to eat.

There are so many amazing holiday recipes out there, but I thought I would hone in on items roasted or smoked on the grill. And the beverages…well, they can keep the griller hydrated and be the perfect thing to accompany hearty winter foods. I selected drinks that all sounded good to me, but I definitely plan to try the bourbon cider twist soon.

Whatever meal you have I hope you enjoy it with family and friends. I love this time of year and it always seems to go by so quickly. Cheers!
